HYPROTEC® is a HA/PSGAG Hydrogel wound dressing and burn dressing
Post surgical lavage
Sodium hyaluronate and Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan
Sodium hyaluronate (HA) and polysulfated glycosaminoglycans (PSGAGs) play an important role in the wound healing process. Both products are considered “Chondroprotective” agents that support or enhance the connective tissue matrix, and as such are found in the chemical composition of connective tissue and soft tissue in humans and animals. These novel compounds have become beneficial in the management of chronic and acute wounds and in many burn applications. When HA and PSGAGs are combined, as in the product HYPROTEC, they are synergistic and can effectively rehydrate dry wounds, maintain a moist healing environment,1,2,3 and protect from tissue trauma2.
